Wedding season in full swing...

Dale and Sophia from Washington State were married in Vancouver on March 23rd. They had an intimate ceremony followed by a delicious brunch at the Four Seasons Hotel. It was a perfect way to begin my 2008 wedding season, Dale & Sophia along with their family and friends welcomed me as if I was a part of the family. Sophia's mother had traveled from Korea to attend the wedding, and 'Mama' kept my hands full of tea and things to nibble on all day! Best wishes to you both as you begin this new phase of your life together, and thanks for having me share your day with you!

Jenn & Mic... (are awesome)
I'm going to have a really sore tummy after I photograph Jenn and Mic's wedding... these two make me laugh so much! Jenn's an ER nurse and Mic's a paramedic... and they're getting married on Sept 11th, 9-1-1! How cool is that? I know... pretty cool.
Anyway, Jenn loves Vancouver's cherry blossoms so we went up to UBC to do these photos amongst the trees in full bloom.
These two got engaged in Italy, so I'm holding the proof album hostage until they tell me all the great little things I should know about traveling in Italy. Kidding! Well, I think that Mic is preparing a photo show for me to see at our next meeting... (hint hint!)

I leave in 2 weeks... wow! Check out the place I'm photographing the wedding...http://jenniferkirkphotography.blogspot.com/2008/03/2-more-months.html
and here: http://jenniferkirkphotography.blogspot.com/2007/08/mark-and-stephs-tuscan-wedding.html

Anyway! I think Jenn's been checking my blog daily since I mentioned that I would be posting some photos! As promised, here they are! I hope you love them as much as I do!

All eyes are on you... Are you ready?

OK... so you've got the dress, the flowers, the cake, and hopefully you have a fab photographer too! Wouldn't it be great if you could learn some tips and tricks for being your wonderful graceful self on your wedding day, and look amazing in your photos too? Making your way through the day in that gorgeous dress isn't as simple as it seemed when you tried it on in the store. (I hope you tried walking around and sitting down... but doing it all day is a little different!)
I just found out about this course offered at Modella... and I think it's a great idea. For just $125, you and 5 friends (girl's day anyone?) get 2 hours at the Modella studio. Learn how to carry that train, walk with ease, hold your flowers (yes, it does matter!) as well as movement in front of the camera to look your best in every photograph! That's $125 for all six of you! Seriously! You can customize the workshop to suit your needs and concerns.
Confidence is Beauty. Check out http://www.modellame.com or call 604-587-1717 to book your workshop!

Andy & Katrina in Fort Langley
Andy & Katrina won my door prize at the Langley Bridal Show, they're getting married in July.
I was starting to think this photo shoot just wasn't meant to be after it was first postponed by Katrina's arm injury (she thought her sling would look ugly in the photos) ... and we had to postpone again when the weather suddenly turned to hail/snow and rain... so when we finally got around to shooting I had my fingers crossed for some sunshine, and we got it! (Even if it was a little chilly). Well, I'm pretty glad I did get to meet these two (finally!) because they were a lot of fun to photograph. I'm not sure if Andy was tickling her or what, but Katrina's laughter crept into most of the images and made for a great shoot!
Congratulations guys... may your life be filled with much happiness and laughter!
